    FAQs

    Questions we get asked.

    For parents
What exactly is the report card?

Think of your child's school report card, for cricket: an honest, written record of what your child genuinely does well, and what to work on next. In simple words, not coaching jargon. Message us and we'll walk you through a real sample before you decide anything.

Will it compare my child with other children?

No. There is no ranking, no comparison with anyone else's child, and no made-up numbers. The report card is about your child's own game and how to nurture it.

    Will it discourage my child?

No. The report card stays encouraging for the player. The fuller detail comes to you, the parent, so you can decide what your child is ready to hear. You know them best.

    Does this replace the coach?

Never. Your coach knows your child's game better than anyone. The report card puts that knowledge in writing so it isn't lost in a word or two at the gate.

Will this get my child selected?

No, and please be careful with anyone who promises that. Nobody can honestly promise selection. What we promise is an honest picture: where your child stands today and what to work on next, so the effort and the money go into the right things.

    Is my child's information safe?

Yes. Nothing happens without your consent. The report card is seen only by you, your academy and the coach. Children's data is protected under India's data protection law, and we treat that as the floor, not the ceiling.

    For academy owners
What does my academy have to do?

Start with a conversation. There is no hardware to buy and no change to how you run your sessions. We'll show you exactly how it works, with a real sample.

Is Sports Mantra a registered company?

Yes. Sports Mantra is a NextGen SportsMantra LLP product, recognised by Startup India (DPIIT certificate DIPP267898).

    For players
Will one bad day ruin my report card?

No. The report card is about how you actually play, not one afternoon. It says what got better, in writing, so a good year is never erased by a bad day.

I am not at a big academy. Is this for me?

Yes. The report card reads your game, not your academy’s name. Where you train does not decide what goes on it.

Will it tell me what to fix?

Yes, straight and simple: what you do well, and what to work on next. Nobody should walk away from their own game not knowing why.
